WHAT WE DID

Private dinner on a secluded sandbank

We celebrated our anniversary with a Sandbank Vow Renewal Dinner Trip! And wow was it beyond words romantic and AMAZING!!

We were picked up from the beach in front of our hotel.

During the 20 minute boat ride to the sandbank, two of our guides tried catching fish, using only a hook, line, and their fingers as the reel.

They only caught a few babies so threw them back, but it was fun to watch them in action.

When we arrived, we were the only boat at the sandbank!

We had the entire sandy paradise to ourselves!

We strolled along the fine delicate sand, wading in and out of azul water just amazed that we were basically standing in the middle of the ocean. We did swim out to the snorkel spot but there wasn’t much to see.

While we were walking and swimming, our guides unloaded the boat and to our amazement created a romantic ethereal dinner gazebo using only the palm branches and wood they brought!

They also grilled fish on the sandbar, and served us a fresh dinner picnic! My husband doesn’t like or eat fish, and he ate every single bite. Guess fresh from the ocean is irresistible!

Highly highly recommend a visit to the sandbar!

It was truly gorgeous and amazing to stand there and renew our vows to each other surrounded by the crystal turquoise water as the bright sun blazed orange and pink on its descent.

What a way to celebrate!!
