WHAT WE DID: Tallinn
Wander the Old Town
Stroll through Town Hall Square. If there is live music like when were visited, sit down at one of the many cafes and enjoy!
Visit Viru Gate, the entrance to the Old Town.
Walk along Tallinn’s tower walls, built in the 14th century!
Stop to admire beautiful buildings, such as:
Toompea Castle (the pink parliament building)
The Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral
Climb to the top of St. Olaf’s Church
Prepare for a climb of over 200 steps - but then you will be rewarded with beautiful views over the city!
Toompea Hill viewpoint
Admire panoramic views of the city rooftops, church spires, and the Baltic Sea from the Kohtuotsa viewing platform.
Explore Kalamaja, a colorful neighborhood home to many art galleries and one of Tallinn’s creative districts.
WHAT WE ATE: Tallinn
NOA - While its sister restaurant, NOA Chef’s Hall, is Michelin-starred restaurant, NOA Restaurant is an amazing way to still experience the delicious food and fantastic view of Tallinn across the water. We loved the steak, the octopus pasta, and of course watching the sunset over the water.
Gotsu - Amazing Korean food! Hidden down a set of stairs, the bibimbap + fried chicken combo for lunch will prepare you for an afternoon of exploring.
Restoran Old Hansa - A medieval themed spot! Order a platter to sample a variety.
Horisont Restaurant - A great spot for cocktails with views over the city and the water!
Põhjala Brewery - Stop by for a beer while wandering the artsy side of Kalamaja.
WHERE WE STAYED: Tallinn
A beautiful hotel very close to Tallinn’s old town. Would stay here again!
